Jennifer Knaus received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1986 and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of California, Davis in 1992. Originally from Canton Connecticut, she moved back there in 1994, where she now lives and teaches part time at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain. She is a member of the Canton Artists' Guild, where she exhibits regularly. She has also shown her work at the Erikson Davis Gallery in Ivoryton, Ct., the Washinton Art Association in Washington Depot, CT., the Pump House Gallery in Hartford, and Art Space in New haven. In 2004 she had a solo show as a part of the New/Now series at the New Britain Museum of American Art where her work is also in the permanent collection. In 2006 she was awarded an Artist's Fellowship from the Connecticut Commission of Culture and Tourism and in January of 2007 she exhibited her work in the Hunter gallery at St. George's School in Middletown Rhode Island.
